As a registered firearms dealer we can act as the receiving end for guns bought elsewhere, and for anything that needs to travel between shops, auction houses or the proof house.
If you have bought a gun at auction or from a dealer at the other end of the country, they can send it to us and you collect it here, in person, with your certificate. That saves you a day of driving and keeps the transfer in the register where it belongs. We will check the gun over when it lands and tell you honestly what we think of it before you commit to taking it away — we would rather that conversation happened before money changes hands than after.
We also handle outbound transfers, deliveries to other dealers, guns going to and from Birmingham for reproof, and transfers where a gun is changing hands between two private individuals who would rather do it properly through a dealer than in a car park. Every movement is entered in our register the same day and notified to the licensing department inside the seven days the law allows.
There is a fee per gun for a transfer, and we will confirm it before anything is booked. Ring us first so we can agree it and so the sending dealer knows who to address it to. Please do not have anything sent here without speaking to us — we cannot sign for a gun we were not expecting.
