We hold guns in our own cabinets for customers who cannot keep them at home for a while. The common reasons are moving house, a certificate that has expired or is in for renewal, a long trip abroad, a bereavement in the family, or a police request to store guns while something is sorted out.
Storage here is secure, insured and logged. Every gun that comes in is entered in the register with its serial number and condition, and everything that goes out is signed for. Guns are stored in our own cabinets on the premises, not in a shed or a lock-up, and nothing is handled by anyone other than us.
There are rules we cannot bend. You need a valid certificate to take a gun away again, and we have to see the original document. If your certificate has lapsed while the gun has been with us, we can hold the gun while your renewal goes through — that is precisely what this service is for — but we cannot hand it back until the new certificate is in your hand. If you decide while it is here that you would rather sell it, we can value it and either buy it outright or put it on the rack for you.
Charges are per gun per month, with a lower rate for longer periods and for whole collections. Ring us with what you have and how long you need it held and we will give you a figure.
