Shotguns for sale — new and used

Game guns, sporters and wildfowling semi-autos, all held here in the cabinet at Staverton. Most of our second-hand shotguns are taken in part exchange from customers we know, so we can usually tell you exactly what a gun has shot and what has been done to it. Every gun is stripped, checked on the face and proof-marked before it goes on the list.

Buying a shotgun from Perkin Guns

You will need a valid shotgun certificate to take a shotgun away, and we will need to see the original — not a photocopy or a photograph. We enter the transfer in our register while you are with us and notify your firearms licensing department within the seven days the law allows. If your certificate is with the police for renewal, ring us and we will hold the gun for you rather than sell it on.

We do not sell guns unseen off a website. You are welcome to handle anything on this list in the shop, mount it, and take it out on our try-gun day before you commit. If you are travelling from further afield, phone ahead on 01327 705 497 and we will have the guns you are interested in out of the cabinet and ready.

Fit, choke and steel shot

Length of pull, cast and comb height are listed for every gun so you can filter for something close to your existing dimensions. Nothing on this list is beyond adjustment: we alter length, fit recoil pads, bend stocks and open or fit multichokes in house, and second-hand guns bought here include a fitting session.

Guns marked steel shot proof carry the fleur-de-lys and can be used with standard steel loads within their proof. If you shoot wildfowl or a ground where non-toxic shot is now mandatory, filter for steel shot proof and speak to us about choke before you buy — older fixed-choke guns and tight chokes are a poor match for steel.
